Woolwich and District Branch Report: The Old Contemptible – No. 389, June 1966

The Old Contemptible – No. 389, June 1966

WOOLWICH & DISTRICT                  The Branch at the moment is very busy in making arrangements for the annual service and parade at St Paul’s, at which we hope to have a good muster. We are also awaiting news of the arrangements of London Borough of Greenwich who are holding a week’s celebrations from the 22nd May to the 31st May, 1966, for the Freedom of the Borough for the Royal Navy and the Royal Regiment of Artillery. We await further instructions from the Woolwich Garrison.

Chums, don’t forget we have a 52-seater coach ordered for the annual visit to our Patron’s farm at Beckley, near Rye. After lunch at Hastings, only five names required, first come first served, 26th June, 1966. As soon as all arrangements are made all Chums living away from the Branch will be notified by circular letter.

We send to all our sick and infirmed (sic) Chums all the very best of good wishes and especially to all our Chums down under, you are not forgotten, Chums.

PONY No. 1.
