The Old Contemptible – No. 463, August 1972
CHELMSFORD Sorry we have not had news in the magazine, but we have had hard times getting Branch meetings going, owing to illness. Our Hon. Secretary, Chum Brand has been very ill, and there are doubts if he will be able to attend any more meetings. However, we hope he will improve in health, and that our worthy and hard working Patron can bring him in. We have also had our Chairman, Chum Wiggins, out of action for two months, but hope we can get a temporary Hon. Secretary, otherwise it will mean closing the Branch, and none will want to do that. However, we will wait until the next meeting, and hope for the best. Best wishes to Chums and good health.
