The Old Contemptible – No. 208, May 1951
BARNSTAPLE. Our Meeting on Friday, March 30th was fairly attended considering the amount of sickness we are experiencing. Our Chum J. Molland, M.M., is in North Devon Infirmary as also is Chum G. Sharp, M.M., whilst Chum Potter is in the Sanatorium. Our earnest wishes for a speedy recovery goes to them, and other sick Chums. We are looking forward to the visit of the Officers of the S.W. Area when the Council Meeting is held here on Saturday, May 5th, and we expect full support from our local Chums. The letter from our friends at Llanelly was one of the nicest things that has happened to us for a long time and gave our meeting quite an uplift. We tender them and all Chums our kindest regards.
