Liverpool and Merseyside Branch Report: The Old Contemptible – No. 401, June 1967

The Old Contemptible – No. 401, June 1967

LIVERPOOL & MERSEYSIDE    We had arranged an evening out, viz., tea and the theatre for Chums and ladies, but we were disappointed when we learnt that the theatre we had in mind had closed for the summer. There are other theatres in the city, but the programme did not appeal to our Chums. Even in a big city like Liverpool there is not a great deal of choice.

We will miss our visit to a holiday camp this year.

As expected our profit on the Grand National draw is not as good as 1966, but it is still very acceptable.

Our three sick Chums are still confined to the house. They receive occasional visits from our sick visitor, Chum Sutch. Good wishes to all Chums.

LION & ROSE.
